Amputee Prosthetic Clinic Sponsors First Stride in Macon

December 2, 2019 – Amputee Prosthetic Clinic recently hosted and sponsored a First Stride at Navicent Rehab Hospital in Macon, GA. First Stride was led by Sheila Clemens, Ph.D., PT and welcomed local therapists and clinicians for three hours of evidence based education with continuing education credits.

“Clinical relevance and application that can be applied to help patients” Eric Pohl

“This was the best amputee course that I have taken. The information and lab session which was hands on with patients was very knowledgeable”. Cheryl Johnson

“Relative to practice in ALL stages post amputation” Lori Lazar

The clinical classroom portion was followed by a two hour hands on Train the Trainer lab with patients, both in rehab, long time prosthetic users and pre-prosthetic. Sheila had participants up in the parallel bars as well as walking and running, where applicable.

“Your clinic was very informative. My husband is a new amputee so all the information was helpful”. Donna Mills

This is the second time that Amputee Prosthetic Clinic has hosted and sponsored a First Clinic in Macon and we hope to return again.
