About the Organization: The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) is a small, but national organization providing adaptive recreation opportunities to those with physical and mobility challenges. OPAF also offers clinical education for rehabilitative professionals who serve this population. 

About the Position: OPAF is seeking a strong, self-directed candidate to work part time as a Development Associate. This position would work closely with OPAF’s Executive Director on fundraising events, grant research and writing, campaign development and fulfillment, major gift solicitation, corporate and foundation outreach, and more.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3 Years Nonprofit Fundraising Experience

  • Demonstrated Success in Fundraising with a Nonprofit Organization Experience in Researching and Writing Grants

  • Experience in Fundraising Events (silent auctions, etc)

  • Adept at Soliciting Financial Support from Foundations and Corporations Familiar with Online Programs to Conduct Auctions (BiddingOwl, etc)

  • Background in Fundraising (year-end) Campaign Development Knowledge of and Experience in Major Gift Solicitation (a plus)

  • Ability to Use Social Media in Fundraising Efforts (a plus)

The Development Associate will work from home (must have own computer, internet, and printer) for approximately 20 hours per week. There may be a possibility of traveling to assist with events a few times per year at the expense of OPAF. Stipend is $1,000 per month. Increases commensurate with success in fundraising and according to reviews.
